About Alan

Alan Kingsley, CPA, received a B.S. in Accounting from San Diego State and a Master’s Degree in Taxation from the University of Texas at Austin. After retiring from public accounting firms and corporate tax departments, he returned to his childhood pursuit of music and flute performance and has expanded his interests into other arts. He recently completed Associate of Arts degrees in Music, Art-Digital Media, and Fine Arts from Diablo Valley College (“DVC”) and also completed certificate programs in Recording Arts and Music Industry Studies. He studied with Frederick Baker (San Diego Symphony), Damian Bursill-Hall (Pittsburgh Symphony) and Susan Waller, (DMA, U.C. Santa Cruz). He recently performed the Frigyes Hidas Flute Concerto with the DVC Symphonic Band. He performs with the DVC Philharmonic, Diablo Symphony and Oakland Civic Orchestra. He is also an active chamber musician.
